Trying to Conceive

Wednesday, January 12th, 2011

No matter my parent’s blarbs and complains, Patri and I keep on TTC. We can’t just surrender to jokes of nature: both of us know to be fertile, so it’s only a matter of time, I can feel that. Hopefully I’ll get pregnant before 2011 ends. *encourages herself*

Here’s what I’m going to do ~ advice from Ovulation-Calculator.com!

TTC-Checklist:

  • Eating healthy and properly
  • Exercise
  • Learn more on Menstrual Cycle
  • Predicting Ovulation
  • Charting my Basal Body Temperature (BBT)
  • Take Ovulation Tests
  • Drink less wine
  • Decrease Stress and Think Positive
  • Sex… uhm :3
  • Pay doctor a visit more often

When they say ‘too much’

Friday, January 7th, 2011

My parents are seriously crossing the line now. They have exhausted my dose of lifetime patience… They continue saying that two years of TTC are too much to give space to any hope, and that Patrizio (my husband) and I should be serious about considering adoption an option for parenthood.

I’m disgusted. ‘Nuff said.

Not that I have anything against adoption, of course. I would love to adopt a baby or an older child, but NOT as a replacement for a lost pregnancy! Not every couple is lucky enough to get pregnant at the first try… or even the first few years of trying. A lot of factors, including stress, can get in the way. And my parents are only adding stress to the mole now.

Our baby will come when time is right. That is what Patri and I believe, and is what we are going to fight for. We will keep trying. We are young, and there’s plenty of time for the wait.
